Depending what areas are being covered in PPF it typically takes around 1-2 days for a front end protection package.
Doing a full body PPF job can take 3-5+ days to complete.
There are a few factors that goes into when PPF should be removed and replaced...
This really is a case by case bases. Even tho the PPF comes with a 10 year warranty we typically recommend replacing it sooner than that for a few reasons... The longer PPF stays on your vehicle the harder it will be to remove someday. Typically around the 3-5 year mark is the sweet spot we recommend for removal and replacement.
Yes you can try... But without proper training and years of experience it is extremely difficult and should be left to the professionals. We have seen and have had to fix bad PPF jobs. This is a task we don't recommend taking on yourself.
PPF truly is amazing protection to stop rock chips as well as other damage. However full disclaimer... If you get a big enough rock or a rock traveling at a fast enough speed it can damage the film.
